Chess

Full-rules chess with castling, en passant, promotion and every draw rule. Play Quokka Bot from Rookie to Master, or pass the device to a friend. Includes drag-or-tap moves, legal-move dots, move list, captured pieces, optional clocks, undo, board flip and auto-saved games.

How to play

Choose vs Computer (levels 1–5) or 2 Players, pick your color and an optional clock (none, 10 min, or 5|3). Drag a piece or tap it and then tap a highlighted square. Checkmate the enemy king to win; stalemate, threefold repetition, the 50-move rule and insufficient material are draws. Pawns reaching the last rank let you choose a queen, rook, bishop or knight.

Controls

Drag or tap pieces to move. Keyboard: arrow keys to move between squares, Enter or Space to pick up and drop, U to undo, F to flip the board, Esc to cancel.

Privacy and saves

Runs entirely in your browser. Settings, your win/draw/loss record and the game in progress are saved only in this browser's local storage. No accounts, ads, or network requests.
